Empowering Mothers of the African Diaspora

We support the mental health and wellness of Black Solo Mothers and their children in Toronto. We build supportive communities, we host creative and healing workshops, and share tools and resources to help mothers thrive — mind, body and soul.

What Is Ubuntu?

Ubuntu (oob-BOON’-two) is an ancient African concept that means I am because we are. We are all connected and our sense of self is shaped by our relationship with others. Ubuntu requires empathy and compassion to shape our interactions. Ubuntu fosters healing and growth. Ubuntu builds thriving communities.
