Our Farm
Rematriation of the land
to build stronger communities
and a better food system
Ubuntu Community Farm is a ½ acre market garden and community medicinal garden in Toronto. We sell ecologically grown produce at our farm and to our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members. We provide opportunities to reconnect with the land and learn about our plant relatives. We believe in hiring our youth, exposing them to career opportunities, and paying them a fair, living wage.
Tours
We host schools, community, corporate and private groups. We offer team building experiences and tours to learn more about ecological farming and medicinal plants.

Our Farmer
Hi! I’m Judith 'Zhiizhii' Prince. I am a Pan-African mother, co-creator of the Ubuntu Community Collective, and an ecological urban farmer. I find joy in working with Mother Earth. I’m on a mission to give back to the land and cultivate abundance for my family and community.
I understand that the work is bigger than me and I want to do my part. I am committed to understanding the ecosystem, growing quality produce, and collaborating with other local farmers and players in the food space to create a sustainable local food system. Access to fresh nutritious local food is a human right!
Our Location
We farm on leased land and use ecological and regenerative farming practices. We have a market garden and about a 5,000 sq.ft. set aside to build a community garden. We are part of an 11-acre urban farm complex operated by Fresh City Farms. There are about 8 other farm operators occupying shared facilities with Fresh City Farms. Our lease includes access to a greenhouse, dry storage, cold storage, and washrooms.
Our physical address is 160 Downsview Park Blvd. Our farm is on the southeast edge of the farm complex that is located at the south west corner of Downsview Park.
